Broadcast Studio: your own 24/7 channel, right in the browser

Want a channel that runs around the clock with your videos or music — without sitting at the stream? Broadcast Studio lets you build a schedule: place videos, audio and images on each day’s timeline, and the studio plays the day hour by hour and streams it to YouTube or any platform that accepts RTMP. It all runs in your browser, nothing to install.

Prototype. Your files stay in this browser. Streaming to platforms is available on request; sign-in access is coming.

What it is

Broadcast Studio is a schedule editor and a live output in one window.

  • Monthly calendar: pick a day and fill it.
  • Each day is a 24-hour timeline with layers for video, audio and images — one after another or at the same time. Stretch a single image across the whole day if you like.
  • Stream: the studio plays the day on the clock and sends it out over RTMP.

Use it for a channel of reruns, a music radio with cover art, a learning channel, or an event programme.

How to start a 24/7 live stream from pre-recorded video

  1. Open the studio and pick a day.
  2. Add files: drag them in, paste with Ctrl+V, or take them from “My files” in your account. Search and preview included.
  3. Place them on the timeline: video, audio and image layers. Add a logo on top.
  4. Fill the gaps: a caption or a file that plays whenever the schedule is empty — for the whole channel or one day.
  5. Paste your stream key from YouTube or another platform and press “Stream”.

Keep the studio tab open and visible: the stream runs as long as it is.

Features

  • A month of schedules, a 24-hour timeline per day.
  • Video, audio and image layers, sequential and parallel.
  • Gap filler: a caption or a file.
  • Logo overlay.
  • Go live from your camera on top of the schedule, then return to it. A “Mute all” button.
  • Trim and join videos: drag the edges of a clip or set start and end, place clips back to back and save that part of the day as one MP4 (1280×720, up to 30 minutes per export).
  • Video over video: full frame, corner or centre, with its own volume and looping.
  • Copy a day to another date for reruns.
  • Stream to YouTube, Facebook or any RTMP platform.
  • Runs in the browser, no install.

Who it’s for

  • Musicians — a 24/7 radio of your tracks with cover art.
  • Creators and schools — scheduled reruns of your best videos and lessons.
  • Event organizers — the day’s programme with fillers between sessions.
  • Businesses — a scheduled feed for screens in an office or store.

How it differs from OBS and restreaming services

  • OBS is installed software built for live shows; it has no month-ahead schedule.
  • Restreaming services forward your live stream to platforms, but don’t play anything on schedule themselves.
  • TV playout systems do all of this, but cost a lot and need their own server.

Broadcast Studio is for a scheduled channel without installs or servers.

Honest limitations

  • It’s a prototype; features will change.
  • Files are stored only in this browser, up to 1 GB per file.
  • The stream runs while your computer is on and the tab is open and not minimized. A 24/7 channel needs a computer running 24/7.
  • Output goes to platforms through our gateway.
  • You need the rights to the music and video you stream. Platforms take down streams with content you don’t own.

Frequently asked questions

Can I live stream a pre-recorded video on YouTube?

Yes. Put the video on a day’s timeline, paste your YouTube stream key and press “Stream”. YouTube labels it as a live stream.

How do I make a 24/7 live stream?

Fill the days in the calendar with videos, music and images, set a gap filler, and start the stream. The studio plays the schedule on the clock while the tab is open.

Does my computer have to stay on?

Yes. The stream comes from your browser, so the computer must stay on and the tab open and visible.

Does YouTube keep a recording of a 24/7 stream?

YouTube doesn’t archive streams longer than 12 hours. If you need recordings, save parts of the day as MP4 in the studio.

Can I make a radio station instead of video?

Yes: put music on the audio layer and stretch an image across the day. You get a radio with cover art on a video platform. There’s no separate audio-only stream for radio players yet.

Where are my files stored?

In your browser, on this computer. They aren’t uploaded to our server, except the live output going through the gateway. Files from “My files” come from your account storage.

Is it free?

Building the schedule, trimming and joining videos and saving MP4 work now, no install. Streaming to platforms is available on request in this prototype; sign-in access is coming.

Can I go live from my camera?

Yes — “Go live from camera” puts you on top of the schedule; the stream then returns to the timeline.
